MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNYIT Men's volleyball team hosted the Stevens Institute of Technology Ducks on Wednesday in a UVC conference match. The Wildcats were defeated by Stevens in straight sets (25-13, 25-21, 25-8).

The Wildcats were overmatched at the net all match. Stevens recorded a solid 20 Block assists(BA) and 3 Solo Blocks(BS) while SUNYIT only recorded 6 BA and 3 BS in the match.

Freshman Alan Davids (Hilton, N.Y. / Hilton) had a match high 6 kills on the day. Davids also recorded a team high 3 block assists. Sophomore Justin Rich (Hamburg, N.Y. / Eden) recorded a match high 7 digs.

The Wildcats record goes to 6-10 on the season with the loss to Stevens(the number 6 ranked Division III Volleyball program in the country). SUNYIT will try to rebound from the loss at Lancaster Bible on Saturday where they will play Keuka at 4:00 pm and Lancaster Bible at 6:00 pm.
