MSOC: Wildcats Remain Undefeated in NEAC Play.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team defended their home turf against North Eastern Athletic Conference rival Morrisville State. The Wildcats struck first after 33 minutes past. Richie Morris (Spanish Town, Jamaica) scored on an assist from Doreion Alleyne (Princes Town, Trinidad and Tobago). They would end the half up 1-0. The Wildcats would come out of the locker room swinging. Richie Morris would again score this time on a pass from Akeem Shelton (Kingston, Jamaica). Later in the half, Morrisville would get on the board with a goal from Ralph Andre but it would be too little too late as the Wildcats would hold on for a 2-1 victory. 

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

  • With his two goals, Richie Morris has his second multigoal game of the year, giving him seven total on the year.

  • Doreion Alleyne got his first career assist on the first goal of the game.

  • Akeem Shelton tallied his second assist on the year and of his career.  

  • SUNY Poly Goalkeeper James D'Alessio (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) earned his seventh victory on the season making four saves in goal.

  • Morrisville State goalkeeper Tyler Card had four saves.

The Wildcats look to continue their hot streak against nonconference opponent Hamilton College. They will square off Tuesday, October 8th slated for a 6:00 pm start time at SUNY Poly's Wildcat Field.
