MSOC: Wildcats Improve to 4-0 in NEAC Play With a Road Win at Wells.

AURORA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team remains undefeated in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Play after defeating Wells College 3-1 on the road Saturday. The Wildcats scored all three of their goals late in the game, all within three minutes of each other to improve to 4-0 in conference play.

 

HOW IT HAPPENED

Wells struck first in the game, netting a goal in the 22nd minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Wildcats would answer in a big way, late in the game with three unanswered goals in the 71st, 72nd, and 73rd minutes. The first goal was an unassisted score by Richie Morris (Spanish Town, Jamaica). The second was by Wakeley Banker (Warwick, N.Y.) and the third was by T.J. Tytler (Rochester, N.Y.)

 

NOTES: 

  • The goal by T.J. Tytler in the 73rd minute was the first of his career. 

  • Richie Morris scored his fifth goal of the season in the game. eHe now has 12 points this season and has 21 career points in two seasons with the Wildcats.

  • Wakely Banker scored his third goal of the season. He has seven points this season. 

  • Jame's D'Alessio (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) earned the win in goal for the Wildcats. He made three saves, bringing his season total to 34. 

  • Mekhi Edge-Wallace scored the Express's lone goal in the 22nd minute. Justin Butler assisted on the goal. 

  • Colton Jaquith made 11 saves in goal for Wells.

 

UP NEXT: 

The Wildcats will be back in action on Wednesday, October 2nd at home against SUNY Canton. The game is scheduled for a 5:00 PM kick-off at SUNY Poly's Wildcat Field.
