MARCY, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly men's basketball team faced off against Cazenovia College on Saturday in a battle for the top spot in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) North Division.

Both teams came in with a 6-2 conference record with SUNY Poly holding the tiebreaker thanks to a win over Caz earlier in the season. The Wildcats would earned their second win of the season over Cazenovia in the game by a score of 85-71. The Poly charge was lead by Caleb Canty (Hudson, N.Y.) and Josh Gregory (Whitesboro, N.Y.). The Wildcats got off to a strong start and went into the locker room up 43-31 at the half. They would come out for the second half and continue to control the game until the final buzzer.

NOTABLES:

• Josh Gregory had his ninth double-double of the year scoring 20 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
• Caleb Canty had a game-high 24 points and also had a game-high five assists. Canty also added four boards and a pair of steals.
• SUNY Poly also had double-digit performances from Jesse O'Dell (Rotterdam, N.Y.) and Kievonn Banks (Rochester, N.Y.).  O'Dell had 11 points and a rebound on the day. Banks recorded 10 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
• Cazenovia got double-digit performances by Raishun Richardson and Lucci Vigliotti. Richardson had 13 points, two rebounds, and an assist. Vigliotti had 10 points in the contest.
• SUNY Poly led in both shooting categories, they shot 50% from the field and 29.4% from three. They also won the battle on the glass 43-30.

The Wildcats will hit the road for a game at Morrisville State on Wednesday, February 5th. The game is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
