MBB: Wildcats Fall to Cross Town Rival Pioneers at Home.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's basketball team lost a close 85-82 game against the Utica College Pioneers. The Wildcats played a strong first half going into the locker room up 42-36. The second half the Wildcat offense struggled as the Pioneer offense took off to build up a lead late to seal the game.

 

NOTABLES:

  • Josh Gregory (Whitesboro, N.Y.) had a game-high 27 points in the game. He shot 56% from the field and knocked down 4 of his 6 three-pointers. "Jiggy" also had ten rebounds recording his third double-double of the season.
  • Jesse O'Dell (Rotterdam, N.Y.) had a season-high 14 points and seven rebounds off the bench for the Wildcats.
  • Caleb Canty (Hudson, N.Y.) had 12 points, 6 boards, and 3 assists for SUNY Poly tonight.
  • The Pioneers were led by Kobe Lufkin who had a team-high 22 points. He also collected five boards, a pair of assists, and a block.
  • Brett Talbert had 17 points for Utica College in their winning effort.

The Wildcats will be back on the court on the road at Nazareth on Tuesday, December 3rd. The game is scheduled for 7:00 PM start.
