WXC: Wildcats Run at the Mike Woods Invitational.

GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's cross country team competed at the Mike Woods Cross Country Invitational on Saturday afternoon, a race hosted by SUNY Geneseo at the National Warplane Museum. The Wildcats only ran three runners and therefore did not place in the team event.  

 

The race was won by Geneseo's Penelope Greene who ran a 20:47.8 6K, just narrowly beating the second place finisher, Sara Stephenson from Johns Hopkins who finished with a time of 20:48.9.  

 

Carelton won the team event with a total score of 50. They finished their top five runners in 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th, and 22nd. SUNY Geneseo was second with a team score of 60. 

 

The Wildcats were led by Grace McClay who placed 292nd out of 304 runners. She had a time of 30:57.5.

The Wildcats will race at the Hamilton College Tune-up on Saturday, October 21st. The race is scheduled to start at 11:45 AM in Clinton, N.Y.
