WXC: Wildcats place 3rd at 15th Annual Short Course Invitational

MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Women's Cross-Country teams opened up their 2022 season on Saturday morning in the 15th Annual Wildcat Short Course Invitational. Five men's teams and four women's teams competed in the event. Hudson Valley CC took home the women's race, placing all five of their scoring runners in the top ten spots. The Wildcats Placed 3rd overall in the race with a score of 55 points. 

In the women's race, Hudson Valley CC placed all of their runners in the top 15, showing a complete group effort from top to bottom. Olivia Skylstad and Laurel Ticer placed 2nd and 5th respectively. Lauren Phetteplace and Ruchika Kilaparty paved the way for the Wildcats, placing 3rd and 4th overall and helping their team to 55 points. The Wildcats also had runners finish in 15th, 16th, and 17th.

The Wildcats will travel to SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday, September 3rd for the Steven A. Ward Invitational. The races are scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.
