GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's cross country team competed at the NCAA DIII Niagara Regional Race on Saturday. The race was hosted by SUNY Geneseo at the National Warplane Museum. The Wildcats raced two runners, Lauren Phetteplace and Katherine Candels, who placed 78th and 128th respectively. SUNY Geneseo dominated the regional, finishing with a team score of 19, 51 points lower than the second-place finisher. 

Lauren Phetteplace ran a great race for the Wildcats, finishing the 6K in 78th place with a time of 26:07.5. Katherine Candels finished 128th for the Wildcats with a time of 30:04.8.  The regional race's winner was SUNY Geneseo's Windsor Ardner. she finished with a time of 22:10.7. Geneseo, the team winner, had their top-5 runners place 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 8th.
