UTICA, N.Y. -  The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team hosted Utica University on Wednesday for a non-conference match to wrap up their season. Utica University would win the match 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The first set of the night would be an exciting one, as both teams exchanged points early on. SUNY Poly would lead 16-14 towards the middle of the set after both teams exchanged the lead. After a few more points, SUNY Poly would stay ahead, extending their lead to 21-18. Utica, however, would get hot and win the next seven points to take the first set 25-21.

The second and third sets would have similar themes in that Utica had a big run in each set, and SUNY Poly would be unable to close the gap. Utica would take the second set 25-12, and the third set 25-9.

The Wildcats closed their season with a 2-22 record. Despite the record, the women's team won two more games than last season and will look to continue that momentum into next season.
