WILLIAMSPORT PA. -  The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team earned a big pair of wins on Saturday in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) cross over event at Penn College. The Wildcats squared off with Penn State Berks and Penn College, winning both matches handily. The match against Penn State Berks was a 3-1 win (25-20, 25-13, 16-25, 25-12). The second match against host Penn College was a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-11, 25-10). With the two wins the Wildcats are now 11-16 with a 5-4 NEAC record.

GAME 1:

The Wildcats jumped out to an early 2-0 lead thanks to some solid attack play as a team. The Wildcats hit .378 in the first set on 37 attacks and hit .364 in the second. The Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks bounced back in the third to take a set, but SUNY Poly put the match away in the fourth.

• Makayla Hulett (Colonie, N.Y.) led all players with 14 kills in the match. She hit a season high .433 on 30 swings.
• Karlie King (Liverpool, N.Y.) recorded double-digit kills in the match with 12 kills on 42 attempts. King also had 13 digs.  
• Amanda Batten (Penfield, N.Y.) was very active on defense. The freshman recorded a team high 18 digs. Batten also recorded three service aces.
• Shannon McIntyre (New Berlin, N.Y.) continued her fantastic play at the service line. She recorded a match high four service aces.
• Sydney Johnson (Nine Mile Falls Wash.) set a season high with 48 assists in the match. Johnson also had 14 digs, two service aces, a solo block, and four kills.
• Claire Ladlee (Leonardsville, N.Y.) had a career high 11 kills in the match for the Wildcats. The junior transfer also had a team high two solo blocks and a block assist.

GAME 2:

In the second match of the day, the Wildcats cruised to an easy three set win over Penn College. Again, the attack of the Wildcats was on point, recording a season high .485 team hitting percentage with 36 kills on 68 attempts. The .485 team hitting percentage ranks fourth highest all-time for the Wildcats. The team made just three errors. The Wildcats also had a season high 18 service aces in the match, surpassing the former high of 17 on August 31st.

• Brittany Adams (Clifton Park, N.Y.) led the attack for the Wildcats in match two. The sophomore tallied a match high 13 kills on 15 swings for a ridiculous .867 hitting percentage. She did not make an error in the match.
• Karlie King recorded 11 kills on 23 swings in the match. Her season kills total is now 207, which is a team high and is second in the NEAC.
• Shannon McIntyre added another pair of aces, bringing her season total to 26.
• Amanda Batten had a team high nine digs to bring her season total to a team high 281, third highest in the NEAC.
• Sydney Johnson added 23 assists to her weekend total. She now has 569 assists this season and leads the NEAC with 8.89 assists per set. Johnson also had six service aces in the game to bring her season total to a team high 39 (third highest in the NEAC).
• Kaley Pichura (Syracuse, N.Y.) had a career day at the service line. The sophomore had a career high six service aces in the match. She has 19 aces this season.

The Wildcats will be on the road for their next match at NEAC rival Wells College. The conference game is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start on Friday, October 18th.
