WVB: Wildcats Extend Winning Streak to Three Games With a 3-1 Win Over Cobleskill.

COBLESKILL, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team (3-5, 1-0 NEAC) extended their winning streak to three games on Wednesday and earned their first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win of the season over Cobleskill State (4-2, 0-1 NEAC). The Wildcats got it done at the net with 12 total blocks (5 solo, 13 assist) setting a new season high en route to the 3-1 win.

Megan Will (Remsen, N.Y.) and Casandra Campion (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) led the way for the Wildcats. The two middle blockers had two solo blocks and four block assists each. Will had a match high 12 kills on 31 swings to go with her blocks. Campion had two kills on nine swings with a dig.

Karlie King (Liverpool, N.Y.) had another fantastic match for the Wildcats. She totaled eight kills and had a team high nine digs.

Brittany Adams (Clifton Park, N.Y.) had six kills and seven digs, a service ace, a solo block, and four block assists.

Sydney Johnson (Nine Mile Falls, Wash.) had another solid match for the Wildcats. She totaled a match high 40 assists, a match high seven service aces, and six digs.

For Cobleskill, Kendra Webb and Katerina Weingarten had 5 service aces each. Mackenzie Holbert had a team high eight kills on 15 swings and had 13 assists. Rachel Burke had a match high three solo blocks and a block assist.  

 The Wildcats will return to action on Friday when they host the Wells Express in a NEAC Conference match. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start at SUNY Poly's Wildcat Field House. The Wildcats are 6-1 all-time against the express including two wins last season.
