WVB: Morgan Eberley Named NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week for the Third Time This Season

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - SUNY Poly senior Morgan Eberley (Utica, N.Y. / Whitesboro HS) has been named NEAC Women's Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week for the period running from October 26th through November 1st.

Below is an excerpt from the NEAC press release announcing the award.

"Morgan Eberley (Utica, N.Y.) has been named the NEAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week after a tremendous week for the SUNY Polytechnic Institute Wildcats.  The senior led the Wildcats to a 3-1 week after smacking 50 kills on a .311 hitting percentage in addition to 44 digs, five aces and four assists to average 4.3 points through 13 sets.  She had double-digit kill totals in three of the four matches on the week, starting with 11 kills to go with 11 digs in a 3-0 win over Alfred Saturday.  She followed that up with a match-high 23 kills and 16 digs in a hard-fought 3-2 setback to regionally ranked Oswego State later in the day, before helping Poly rebound with a 3-0 win over New Rochelle Sunday with 14 kills and seven digs.  She also added 10 digs and a pair of aces to help Poly sweep Bard 3-0 last Tuesday.  Eberley is now the per-set conference leader in both points (4.3) and kills (3.69) for the Wildcats, who wrapped up the regular season with a 25-4 overall record."
