KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - SUNY Poly women's volleyball to take part in a NEAC weekend series. The women went into Keuka hoping to keep their win streak alive and their hold on first place strong. The Wildcats made it through the first match of the weekend with a 3-1 win against Wells. Unfortunately, on day two the Wildcats 18 match winning streak came to an end after a 3-0 loss to Keuka. The team was able to bounce back in their third match against Cazenovia; cruising to a 3-0 victory.

In the first match of the weekend the undefeated Wildcats met the undefeated Wells Express. The first set was a battle, but the Wildcats came out on top 28-26. The next three went back and forth 25-16, 22-25, and 25-13; ending with the Wildcats securing the win. Morgan Eberley (Utica, N.Y. / Whitesboro HS) had a match high 19 kills in the match. She also recorded 14 digs and 2 service aces. Ryenn Smith (Lyons, N.Y. / Lyons Sr./Jr. HS) had 11 kills and a match high 18 digs. The Wildcat victory brought their record to 18-2, knocked off an undefeated Wells and gave the Wildcats a full one game edge on second place Wells and Gallaudet for the first time all season.

The second day was difficult for the Wildcats as their 18 game win streak finally came to an end. Keuka was able to win 3-0, but not without a fight from the Wildcats. To win Keuka had to take two sets past 25 points. The first set went to Keuka 27-25, the second 30-28, and the third 25-21. Keuka's Lauren Moelbert and Jadine Buddingh each had a match high 12 kills.

The Cazenovia Wildcats were next up on the Wildcats schedule. The match went to SUNY Poly in three sets 25-20, 25-12, 25-14. Megan Will (Remsen, N.Y. / Remsen HS) had a match high 12 kills and a block. Morgan Eberley had 11 kills, 12 digs, and a service ace. Freshman setter Sydney Johnson (Nine Mile Falls, W.A. / Lakeside HS) recorded 37 assists in the match. The Wildcats of SUNY Poly hit .308 on 46 total kills.

The 2-1 weekend puts SUNY Poly's season record at 19-3. This places them in a three way tie atop the NEAC with Wells and Gallaudet. With a weekend sweep next weekend, the chances that the Wildcats host the NEAC Championship Tournament are very good. The Wildcats will be back in action on Friday when they play what could be the biggest match of the season against Gallaudet in Washington D.C. The match is scheduled for an 8:00 PM start.
