WVB: Morgan Eberley Takes Home First Sports Imports/AVCA DIII Player of the Week Award in SUNY Poly History.

LEXINGTON, K.Y. - Senior Morgan Eberley (Utica, N.Y. / Whitesboro HS) has been named the AVCA DIII Women's Volleyball Player of the Week. This marks the first time in school history that a SUNY Poly student-athlete has won this prestigious national award. Below is an excerpt of the release that the American Volleyball Coaches Association has released to announce its selection.

 

 

 

 

Morgan Eberley #4

Led the Wildcats to a 4-0 week where she collected 62 kills and hit .343...Had two double-doubles and smashed double-digit kills in three of the four matches...Her biggest match of the week came against Plattsburgh State where she had 24 kills, 18 digs and hit .364...The Wildcats are currently riding a 16-match winning streak.

 

This is the first time in program history a SUNY Polytechnic Institute student-athlete has garnered Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week honors.
