Morgan Eberley (Utica, N.Y. / Whitesboro HS) has been selected as the NEAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week after an outstanding week for the SUNY Polytechnic Institute Wildcats. The senior led the Wildcats to a perfect 4-0 week after smashing 62 kills with a .343 hitting percentage to go along with 44 digs, six aces and five assists for 69 points through 13 sets (5.3 p/set). Eberley averaged 4.77 kills per set and had double-digit kills in three matches, starting with 17 kills on a .412 hitting percentage to go with eight digs in a 3-0 sweep over Hamilton Wednesday. She then walloped 45 more kills during a home quad match this weekend, including a career-high 24 kills to go along with 18 digs, three assists and a pair of aces in a dramatic 3-2 win over Plattsburgh State Saturday, before closing the day with 14 kills and 10 digs in a 3-1 win over Skidmore. Eberley currently leads the NEAC in kills (223), kills per set (3.78), points (255) and points per set (4.3) while being third in hitting percentage (.309). After losing their first two contests of the season, the Wildcats have not dropped a match since and currently stand at 16-2 overall and 6-0 in the NEAC.
