WSOC: Wildcats Shutout on the Road by Penn State Berks

READING, PA. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team (9-3-1, 5-1-1 NEAC) lost to Penn State Berks (8-5-1, 7-0 NEAC) on Saturday 0-5 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game. The loss was the Wildcats first in conference play. The Wildcats put just three shots on goal in the game whereas Berks put 19 shots on goal. 

Angela Bartlett (West Winfield, N.Y.) was put in a difficult situation in the game. The senior faced 19 shots from the Nittany Lions. Bartlett had a season high 14 saves in the game. 

Caitlin Golden scored three of the Nittany Lions five goals and took eight shots in the game. Gabby Crawford and Jess Mandeville each had a goal in the game for Berks. 

The Wildcats are now 5-1-1 in the NEAC and sit atop the NEAC North Division Standings.

The Wildcats will take on Bryn Athyn on the road on Sunday. The Lions of Bryn Athyn are 5-3 in NEAC play this season.
