WSOC: Stedman Leads Wildcats to First NEAC Win of the Season.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team (4-1, 1-0 NEAC) earned their first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win of the 2017 season on Saturday with a 2-1 double overtime victory over Penn College (2-4-1, 0-1 NEAC). The Wildcats scored first in the second half. Penn College answered back just 17 minutes later, tying the game at one, which is where the score would remain for the remainder of regulation. SUNY Poly and Penn College would battle it out in overtime for another 30 minutes before the game winning goal was scored by SUNY Poly's Nakeya Stedman (Sauquoit, N.Y.) in the 119th minute.

Stedman scored both of the Wildcats goals in the game. Her first was an unassisted goal in the 60th minute. Her second was the game winner in overtime. The goals are Stedman's second and third of the season. She now leads the Wildcats with six points.

Angela Bartlett (West Winfield, N.Y.) earned her 36th win of her career. She made five saves in the game bringing her season total to 25.

Penn College's Hallee Hartman scored the game tying goal in the 77th minute on a through ball by Tiffany Brown. The Penn College keeper Taylor Gonzales made six saves in the game.
