WSOC: Stedman Nets Two More in Wildcat Win Over Cazenovia 4-0.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly woman's soccer team earned its second conference win in convincing fashion today 4-0 over Cazenovia. The Wildcats prevailed thanks to an offensive onslaught in the final 13 minutes of the game where the Wildcats would pile on three of their four goals.

Nakeya Stedman (Sauquoit, N.Y.) brought her A game to the field. She netted two goals in the game bringing her season total to five, four of which have come in the last two days.

Madisyn Proper (Vernon, N.Y.) had three points in the game. The freshman netted her third goal of the season and recorded her first career assist on a perfectly executed through ball to Stedman late in the second half.

Corrina Marconi (Rochester, N.Y.) joined the party in the 84th minute with her first goal of the 2016 season.

The Wildcat defenders shut down the Cazenovia offense allowing just four shots in the game, two of which were on goal. Angela Bartlett (West Winfield, N.Y.) made two saves on two attempts in route to her third shutout and fourth win of the season .  

The Wildcats are now 4-0-1 on the year and are 2-0 in NEAC play. The team will return to action on Wednesday, September 14th when they will host local rival Utica College. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start.
