GANESEVOORT, N.Y. - The NEAC has announced its Individual Achievement Awards and All-Conference selections.  After a great regular season, the Wildcats women's soccer team took home an Individual Award and four All-Conference Awards.

Angela Bartlett (West Winfield, N.Y. / Mount Markham HS) was selected NEAC Defensive Player of the year after a masterful season in goal for the Wildcats. An excerpt from the NEAC press release can be found below.

"SUNY Polytechnic Institute sophomore Angela Bartlett (West Winfield, N.Y.) was named the NEAC Defensive Player of the Year after an excellent season for the Wildcats.  Bartlett started all 21 Wildcat contests in goal this season, going 11-6-3 overall with 103 saves, a .798 save percentage and a 1.25 goals-against average while seeing the most minutes of all conference keepers after logging nearly 1,870 minutes of play.  A NEAC Defensive Player of the Week selection this season, Bartlett also posted eight shutouts on the year, including seven in conference play en route to an 8-2-2 record against NEAC opponents.  The latest such outing came in the Wildcats' biggest game yet, as she recorded a three-save shutout to help SUNY Poly secure a 1-0 win in the opening round of the NEAC Championship Tournament Wednesday.  Bartlett was also voted to the NEAC All-Conference First Team."

Three Wildcats were voted NEAC Second Team All-Conference. Senior defender Erica Maisonet (Walkill, N.Y. / Walkill HS), senior midfielder Julia Jaikin (Dolgeville, N.Y. / Dolgeville HS), and sophomore midfielder Brittany Waterbury (Remsen, N.Y. / Remsen HS) all had great seasons for the Wildcats, earning their spots amongst the top players in the league.

The Wildcats are still in the hunt for a NEAC Championship. They travel to Penn St. Berks for a semi-final matchup against Penn St. Abington on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 PM start.
