MARCY N.Y. - The Wildcats hosted MCLA on Wednesday for what would prove to be a very thrilling game for Wildcat fans. SUNY Poly would go on to win the game 3-2 in dramatic fashion on a go-ahead goal by Freshman Jenny Maxam (Clinton, N.Y. / Clinton HS) with 20 seconds remaining in regulation.

SUNY Poly struck first on an unassisted goal by Brittany Waterbury (Remsen, N.Y. / Remsen HS) in the 35th minute of play. MCLA answered back with a goal in the 55th minute by Jackie Dwyer. Julia Jaikin (Dolgeville, N.Y. / Dolgeville HS) gave the Wildcats the lead back on her 3rd goal of the year in the 69th minute. MCLA had a quick answer back just a minute later on a goal from Darien Sullivan.

With just seconds remaining, Freshman Jenny Maxam came through as the hero of the day when she beat the goal keeper and sent the game winner into the back of the net.

The win brings the Wildcats record to 4-1-1 on the season. The team will be traveling to Williamsport, Pa. to take on NEAC rival Penn College on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 PM start.
