WLAX: Wildcats Drop Season Opener to Hartwick.

MARCY N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's lacrosse team lost their first game of the 2022 season 18-2 to Hartwick College. The Wildcats were simply overmatched. They allowed 14 unanswered goals in the game before netting their first goal in the third quarter. They would add one more goal in the fourth quarter to close out the game. 

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: 

  • Molly Burdick scored both of the Wildcats goals. She took six shots and had two ground balls. 

  • Rachel Salmon had a team high four groundballs. 

  • Alycia Lugo made 18 saves in goal for the Wildcats. 

 

UP NEXT: 

The Wildcats will head to SUNY Potsdam on March 24th to take on the Bears in non-conference play. The game is scheduled for a 5:00 PM start.
