GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – SUNY Poly women's lacrosse player Mari Ames (West Carthage, N.Y.) has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the week of March 28th - April 3rd. An excerpt from the NEAC press release can be found below. 

"Mari Ames (West Carthage, N.Y.) has been named the NEAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week after a phenomenal week for the SUNY Polytechnic Institute Wildcats.  The sophomore totaled 21 points on nine goals and 12 assists during a 2-1 week for the Wildcats, which included a pair of conference wins.  Ames did most of her damage in the two NEAC victories, starting with a game-high 10 points on five goals and five assists in a 25-8 victory over Lancaster Bible Friday, before scoring three goals with six assists in a 19-0 victory over College of Saint Elizabeth Saturday.  Ames now has the second-most points in the conference with 40 for the Wildcats, who improved to 5-1 on the year (2-0 NEAC)."
