"Stevie Ray (Syracuse, N.Y.) has been chosen as the NEAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week after a spectacular performance for the SUNY Polytechnic Institute Wildcats.  Ray led the Wildcats to a come-from-behind 68-64 victory over SUNY Cortland Saturday in the team's lone contest of the week. The senior guard scored a game-high 30 points and sunk six 3-pointers, two of which came in the final two minutes of play that gave the Wildcats the lead for good as they erased a nine-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter. Ray also finished the night leading all players with six assists and six steals in addition to grabbing seven rebounds.  Ray is currently leading the NEAC in scoring at 25.3 points per game this season, which also ranks as the fifth-best scoring average across all of NCAA Division III.  The defending NEAC champion Wildcats remain unbeaten at 8-0 overall."
