SB: Fallon Reinold Named NEAC Softball Player of the Week.

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – SUNY Poly softball player Fallon Reinold (Holland Patent, N.Y.) has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Softball Player of the Week for the week of April 18th - April 24th. An excerpt from the NEAC press release can be found below. 

Fallon Reinold (Holland Patent, N.Y.) has been selected as the NEAC Softball Player of the Week after a phenomenal all-around week for the SUNY Polytechnic Institute Wildcats.  The senior was dominant both at the plate and in the circle during a 6-2 week for the Wildcats, which included a perfect 6-0 mark in conference play.  Reinhold posted a slash line of .652/.704/.826 with 15 hits that included a home run and two doubles, 14 runs scored, nine RBIs, three walks and no strikeouts in 27 plate appearances.  She had at least one hit in all eight games with multi-hit performances in five contests, including being perfect at the plate in a doubleheader sweep over Cobleskill Saturday, finishing 6-for-6 with a home run, three RBIs and five runs scored.  Reinhold was also fantastic during three starts in the circle, going 3-0 with three complete five-inning games while striking out 24 batters, walking just four and only giving up two runs and six hits through 15 innings of work for a 0.93 ERA.  Reinhold, who also posted a perfect fielding percentage while alternating between pitcher and center field, is now second in the conference in both wins (8) and strikeouts (89) for the Wildcats, who improved to 9-3 in the NEAC and 13-13 overall.
