Brognano Tops in NCAA DIII in Doubles-Per-Game

MARCY, N.Y. – SUNYIT standout Lyndsey Brognano (Rome, N.Y. / RFA) will have to find even more room in an already crowded trophy case, as the junior shortstop was crowned the NCAA Statistical Champion in Doubles-Per-Game on Tuesday.

The Wildcat Softball star and Co-NEAC North Division Player of the Year last year, Brognano registered 23 doubles in 39 games to finish with a .59 per game average. Brognano just beat out Catherine Roy of Rivier College, who finished the year with a .57 average.

Lyndsey will be back this year for her senior seasons in both basketball and softball.
