UTICA, NY – Due to weather, today's SUNYIT softball doubleheader against the visiting Morrisville State Mustangs at Herkimer County Community College's Generals Field has been postponed until Monday, April 25. The playing field and start time have yet to be determined.
Moving the contest to the 25th means the Lady Wildcats have canceled their road match against Hamilton College that was scheduled for that date. No makeup date has been announced as of this time.
The Lady Wildcats will be back in action tomorrow when they travel to take on NEAC rival Cazenovia College for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 pm. They will then host Cazenovia on Monday for a doubleheader at Utica's Greenman Field beginning at 3:00 pm.
Due to the on-campus construction of the $20 million field house, as well as improvements to the Wildcat Softball Field, all of the SUNYIT softball home games this season have been played at sites off campus, rotating between Utica College's Greenman Field and HCCC's Generals Field.
The Wildcats are currently 10-2 in the NEAC North Division and 14-7 overall.
