Multiple Changes Made to this Weekend’s Softball Schedule

UTICA, NY – Multiple changes have been made to the SUNYIT softball schedule for this weekend, as the Lady Wildcats will now compete in four straight contest that start with Saturday's doubleheader against conference rival Morrisville State at Herkimer County Community College's Generals Field.

The Wildcats have moved up tomorrow's start time against the Mustangs to noon instead of 1:00 pm, while Sunday's home game against Cazenovia College has been moved to Cazenovia in order to make up the postponed contest between the two teams from this past Thursday.  The doubleheader is still scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm.

Due to Sunday's change, SUNYIT has canceled its match against Oswego State on Monday and will instead host Cazenovia for a doubleheader at Utica's Greenman Field beginning at 3:00 pm.  The team's originally scheduled match at SUNY Canton on Tuesday at 3:30 pm has remained unchanged.

Due to the on-campus construction of the $20 million field house, as well as improvements to the Wildcat Softball Field, all of the SUNYIT softball home games this season have been played at sites off campus, rotating between Utica College's Greenman Field and Herkimer County Community College's Generals Field.

The Wildcats are currently 10-2 in the NEAC North Division and 14-7 overall.
