All SUNYIT Softball Home Games to be Played Off Campus

UTICA, NY – Due to the on-campus construction of the $20 million field house, as well as improvements to the Wildcat Softball Field, all of the SUNYIT softball home games this season will be played at sites off campus, rotating between Utica College's Greenman Field and Herkimer County Community College's Generals Field.

The Lady Wildcats will open home play next week when they host back-to-back doubleheader contests at Greenman Field, taking on Utica College on Tuesday at 3:30 pm and NEAC foe SUNY Cobleskill on Wednesday at 3:00 pm.  The playing sites for all home games can be found online on the team's schedule page here.

Greenman Field, which is operated by the city of Utica, is located directly across the Burrstone Road entrance of Utica College (directions), while Generals Field is located on the campus of HCCC (directions).

The Wildcats are currently 4-3 overall.  They will next be in action this Sunday when they travel to take on NEAC rival Cazenovia College.  Game one is scheduled to begin at noon.
