MXC: Wildcats Travel to Compete in Hamilton Invitational.

CLINTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's cross country traveled across town to compete in the Hamilton College Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The field of 73 runners, representing seven teams, competed in an 8K race on Hamilton's campus.

 

Hamilton was dominant in the race, placing their top five runners in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, and 7th place to record a team score of 19. Clarkson finished second with a team score of 55.

 

Hamilton's John Quinn was the race winner. He ran the 8K race in 26:25.5, winning by 11.5 seconds over his teammate Alexander Badami.

 

The Wildcats had a team score of 175 to place 6th in the race. Spencer Daley led the pack for the Wildcats, running the 8K in 29:42.3. Caleb McDermott was the Wildcats second finisher in 46th place with a time of 30:49.9.

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will compete at the Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday, October 14th. The race, hosted by SUNY Geneseo, will start at 10:00 AM.
