Sirtoli Paces 6th Place Wildcats at the CCOC Invitational

SENECA LAKE STATE PARK – Talking with Wildcat Head Coach Bill Tylutki, it was clear the potential was there all along. Lately that potential is starting to look more like reality, as Jordan Sirtoli ran yet another terrific race at the CCOC Invitational on Saturday.

Sirtoli, a graduate student, placed 17th overall, the highest finisher on the Wildcat team. His time of 27 minutes and 35 seconds outpaced the next closest Wildcat (Joseph Acey, who took 33rd place with a time of 29:13) by more than a minute.

Sirtoli's emergence coupled with the young talent of runners like Acey and rookie Greg Bogdan bodes well for the Wildcats as they enter the stretch run of the fall season.

The team has one more race scheduled prior to the NEAC Championships, as they head to Williamstown, Massachusetts next Saturday for the Plansky Invite.
