GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – After a pair of phenomenal performances to kick off the 2013 athletic season for SUNYIT, sophomore cross country runner Derek Struck (Knox, N.Y. / Berne-Knox-Westerlo) and senior soccer player Diego Montaleza (New York, N.Y. / MLK) were selected NEAC Players of the Week in their respective sports.
Struck earned the season's first Runner of the Week award by winning the 7th Annual SUNYIT Invitational (6k) on Saturday, breaking his own course record in the process. Click for more…
Not to be outdone, Montaleza set a record of his own, scoring all three goals in a 3-0 victory over Hilbert on Saturday night, giving him 25 for his career and making him the all-time leader at SUNYIT in that category. Click for more…
