ABINGTON, PA - The SUNYIT Men's Cross Country Team took first place out of nine teams at the First Annual Penn State Abington Invitational on Saturday held at Lorimer Park in Huntingdon Valley, Pa.
The men were once again led by freshman standout Derek Struck who took second overall with a competitive time of 29:45. Junior Dylan Parry finished third at 30:30.
Freshman Sean Reynolds came in sixth contributing a time of 31:17 with sophomore Cody Russell on his heels, crossing the line at 31:29.
Junior Chris Wicks took the fifth scoring spot for the team, finishing in 27th overall at 32:43.
The men head west next weekend where they will be participating in the Houghton College Invitational in Buffalo, N.Y. A 1 p.m. start is scheduled.
