Men's and Women's XC Compete at Pat Peterson Invitational

 

OSWEGO, NY – The Wildcats traveled to Oswego, NY Saturday to compete in the  Pat Peterson Invitational at Oswego State College.  The men showed great strength placing eighth while the women ran a full squad for the first time this season, placing twelfth. 

Leading the men's pack was senior Robert Doss with a time of 28:30.66 on the 8K course.  Sophomore Chris Wicks clocked in at 31:18.17 in the 68th spot, freshman Cody Russell finished 69th at 31:20.26 and sophomore Dylan Parry placed 70th at 31:20.54.  Rounding out the Wildcats' top five was sophomore Steve Gagnier who took 88th with a time of 32:31.57. 

The women's team had a top 50 runner in senior Bridget McMahon who placed 45th with a time of 22:51.0 on the 5K course. Junior Brittany Salm ran well with a time of 28:02.89 and placing 101st.  Running in the three spot for the Lady Wildcats was Ivy Vasquez who clocked in at 32:21.56 with freshman Paige McCandless and junior Stephanie DePerno both coming in behind here at 33:40.95.

Next Saturday September 17th, the squad travels to Annandale-on-the-Hudson, NY to run in the Bard College Invitational.  The women will start at 12 p.m. while the men's race will begin at 12:45 p.m.
