UTICA, NY – SUNYIT senior Ryan Darling (Jordan, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending September 26.

Darling earned the award for his performance at the Southern Vermont College Mountaineer Invitational this past Saturday, where he finished in eighth place out of 103 runners with a time of 31:30.47.  SUNYIT finished with a team score of 89 to finish in third place out of 13 teams.

The Wildcats will be back in action on Saturday, October 9 when they travel to participate in the Hamilton College Invitational.  The women's race will begin at 11:00 am, while the men's race will start at noon.
