Men's Cross Country Finishes 30th at NCAA Atlantic Region Championships

ONEONTA, NY – The SUNYIT men's cross country team scored 837 points to finish 30th out of 39 teams at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships, which was hosted by Oneonta State and held at Fortin Park in Oneonta, NY Saturday.  The women's team did not have enough runners to qualify for a team finish.

Junior Robert Doss (Chittenango, NY/Chittenango) was the Wildcats' top finisher with an end time of 27:43.5.  Senior Christopher Senez (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) crossed the finish line at 27:45.6, while senior Ryan Darling (Jordan, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) finished at 28:11.  Rounding out the top SUNYIT runners was freshman Christopher Wicks (Syracuse, NY/Baker) with a time of 28:36.8 and freshman Dylan Parry (Voorheesville, NY/Voorheesville) with a time of 29:54.8.

Geneseo won the race with 47 points and were led by Lee Berube, who was the event's top runner with a time of 24:27.8.
