UTICA, N.Y.- The United Soccer Coaches announced that Abus Mohamed Ali and Kevin Ryan from SUNY Poly have been selected to the D3 All-Region Team for Region 1. Mohamed Ali was named to the second team, while Ryan was named to the third team. Both players were instrumental in the success of this year's SUNY Poly Men's Soccer team which won the North Atlantic Conference and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

Following a season where he was North Atlantic Conference Player of the Year, Mohamed Ali kept his stride in being an offensive threat for the Wildcats. Even while dealing with an injury in parts of the season, Mohamed Ali scored 4 goals and chipped in 6 assists for the Wildcats for 14 points. In his career, Mohamed Ali has now scored 11 goals and registered 17 assists for 39 total points in 55 games played.

Kevin Ryan was a staple in the back line for the Wildcats, starting all 20 games as a defender and helping lead the Wildcats to 6 shutouts. The Wildcats only let in an impressive 8 goals during North Atlantic Conference play, and Ryan was a constant in minimizing opponents shots and creating offense opportunities for the Wildcats by creating turnovers.
