MSOC: Wildcats Beaten 1-0 by Morrisville to Wrap Up Regular Season.

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team lost to Morrisville State 1-0 on Wednesday to wrap up their regular season. The Wildcats allowed the game's only goal in the 1st minute of the game and that was the difference maker. The goal was scored on Morrisville's only shot on goal of the game. The Wildcats had some opportunities to score, putting eight shots on goal in the game, but could not find the back of the net. The Wildcats end their 2022 regular season campaign with a 10-4-3 overall record.

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

  • Mohamed Sy scored the game's only goal for Morrisville.
  • Olvin Yanes had the assist on the goal by the Mustangs.
  • Caleb Lucero made eight saves en route to the win in goal for Morrisville.
  • Xander Novack and Dominick Spychalski accounted for half of the Wildcats shots on goal with two each.

 

UP NEXT:

The North Atlantic Conference West Division Regular Season Champion Wildcats will host the first two rounds of the NAC Tournament this weekend. The #1 seed Wildcats will face off with the #4 seeded SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers. The Wildcats game is scheduled for 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 29th. The second semifinal will be played at 2:00 PM with the winners advancing to Sunday's Quarterfinal.
