MSOC: Late Goal Lifts #19 Hamilton Past Wildcats 1-0.

MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men's soccer team lost their non-conference matchup on Tuesday night 1-0 against nationally ranked #19 Hamilton College. The Continentals would score late in the 88th minute to secure the non-conference victory. The Wildcats move to 3-3 on the season.

A fierce battle between the cross-town rivals came down to a flurry of shots in front of the net in the 88th minute. After a blocked shot, Luke Peplowki would net the game's lone goal into the lower right corner of the net. Both teams had opportunities throughout the game and great goaltending from Ryan Primus (SUNY Poly) and Kai Haesslein (Hamilton), would keep their teams in the game.

 

NOTABLE STATS:

  • Ryan Primus made his first career start in the net for the Wildcats, recording 6 saves.
  • Edward Greene, Aboubacar Camara, Wakeley Banker, and Justin Andriola all recorded shots for the Wildcats.
  • Six Continental players would record shots on goal.
  • Hamilton possessed the ball 55% of the game, compared to SUNY Poly possessing the ball 45% of the game.
