MSOC: Wildcats Drop Non-Conference Match With Mt. St. Mary.

NEWBURGH, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team lost to the Mt. St. Mary Knights on Wednesday 1-0. The Wildcats gave up a goal late in the first half and were shut down on the offensive side for the full 90 minutes. The loss was their second of the season. SUNY Poly is now 2-2.  

 

The only goal of the game was scored by Mt. St. Mary in the 32nd minute by Christopher Maggi. He was assisted by Matt Wyant.  

 

NOTABLE STATS:

  • The Wildcats were outshot 14-10 in the game with the Knights putting six shots on goal compared to the Wildcat's three. 

  • Chase Coluccio was the goalkeeper of record. He allowed one goal on five shots faced.  

  • Caesar Martinez earned the win for the Knights. He made two saves in the game.  

  • Mt. St. Mary's Christopher Maggi had the lone goal in the game on his only shot of the game.  

  • Matt Wyant had an assist for the Knights.
