MSOC: Wildcats Tie 2-2 With Farmington in NAC Divisional Crossover.

FARMINGTON, Maine - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team tied 2-2 with Maine Farmington on Sunday in the second leg of their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) divisional crossover trip. The Wildcats are now 9-1-3 this season with a 5-0-2 NAC record. 

 

The Wildcats scored both of their goals on penalty kicks, one at the end of the first half and one in the 68th minute. Wakeley Banker scored both of the Wildcat's goals. The game was very evenly matched between the two teams. The Maine Farmington Beavers took 14 shots with six on goal. The Widlcats took 11 shots with five on goal. Chase Coluccio made four saves for the Wildcats. Jonah Sautter made three saves in goal for the Beavers. 

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: 

  • Wakeley Banker scored twice for the Wildcats. Both goals were scored on PKs. He now has a team-leading 10 goals this season and is leading the Wildcats with 20 points.  

  • Chase Coluccio made four saves in goal and was credited with a tie. He is now 4-0-1 this season. 

  • Zach Chaisson scored the Beaver's first goal in the 36th minute. 

  • Christian Beliveau scored the second goal for Farmington. He was assisted on the goal by Gracien Mukwa

 

UP NEXT: 

The Widlcats will travel to face local rival Hamilton College on Wednesday. The game is scheduled for a 6:00 PM start at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.
