MSOC: Wildcats Improve to 5-0-1 in NAC Play With Win Over NVU-Lyndon.

LYNDONVILLE, Vt. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team improved to 5-0-1 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play with a 3-0 win at Northern Vermont - Lyndon. The Wildcats scored three goals in the game and the defense played fantastically, holding the Hornets to just one shot in the game and no shots on goal. 

 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

The Wildcats scored their first goal in the 14th minute on a Doreion Alleyne unassisted goal on a scramble in the box. The Wildcat's next two goals were both on penalty kicks. Wakely Banker netted the 'Cats first PK in the 24th minute and Kevin Ryan scored the second in the 54th minute. 

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: 

  • Doreion Alleyne scored his fourth goal of the season in the win. Alleyne now has eight points this season. 

  • Wakely Banker's goal was his eighth of the season. 

  • Kevin Ryan scored his first goal of the season for the Wildcats on his PK in the 54th minute. 

  • James D'Alessio earned the win in goal for the Wildcats. He improved his record to 5-1-1 this season. 

 

UP NEXT: 

The Wildcats will be back in action on Sunday at Maine-Farmington. The North Atlantic Conference match-up is scheduled to start at 1:30 PM.
