MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team improved to 2-0 in North Atlantic Conference play on Saturday with a 3-0 road win over Cazenovia. The Wildcats got up a pair of goals early in the first half and never looked back. The 'Cats also scored in the second half to add some insurance.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Cole Wright opened up the scoring for the Wildcats in the fifth minute. Gerry Thermil facilitated the goal, taking the ball from just inside midfield up the left sideline to the end line. Thermil put a good touch on a cross, avoiding multiple defenders in the box to find Wright on the right side of the goal. Wright gathered the pass and drove it into the net for his third goal of the season.

The Wildcats scored their second goal just 12 minutes later when Abus Mohamed-Ali took the ball down the middle of the field and ripped a shot on goal. Hayden McBath, the Cazenovia goalkeeper, made a save on the ball and Mohamed-Ali gathered the rebound. Mohamed-Ali turned the ball out towards the sideline to draw in the defender, spun his way free, and found Doreion Alleyne in front of the goal who netted the cross inside the far post. It was Alleyne's second goal of the season.

The Wildcat's third goal was scored early in the second half off a well placed corner kick by Peyton Bennett. The corner kick was high across the box for Wakely Banker who headed it home for his second goal of the season.
