MSOC: Wildcats Suffer a Two Goal Loss at Nazareth.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team lost to Nazareth on Wednesday 2-0. SUNY Poly was able to get some great looks on offense, but the 'Cats were unable to turn those looks into goals. Both teams took nine shots in the game and both had three shots on goal but Nazareth was able to find the back of the net twice to improve to 2-1-1 on the year. The Wildcats are now 1-1.

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: 

  • Nazareth's Dan Serpe opened up the scoring in the 41st minute on an unassisted goal. 

  • In the 82nd minute, Dominic Marino scored off a pass by Drew Decker to give Nazareth a 2-0 lead.

  • Logan Menna was the winning keeper for Nazareth. 

  • James D'Alessio was on the losing side of the decision. He made one save in the game. 

 

UP NEXT: 

The Wildcats will open up North Atlantic Conference play on Saturday. SUNY Poly will travel north to SUNY Canton to take on the Roos. The game is set for a 3:30 PM kickoff.
