MSOC: Wildcats and Roos Play to a Draw in Non-Conference Match.

CANTON, N.Y. – Solid defensive play was the story of Saturday's SUNY Poly men's soccer game against SUNY Canton. The game went a full 110 minutes without a goal, ending in a 0-0 draw. The two teams combined for 32 shots in the game but placed just six on goal. The Wildcats are now 1-0-1 in 2018.

NOTABLES:

  • Richie Morris (Spanish Town, Jamaica) put a game high three of his six shots taken on goal. No other player had more than one.
  • Nathan Laughlin (Cohoes, N.Y.) made two saves in the game to earn the draw. He is now 1-0-1 on the season with a career record of 5-3-1.
  • Canton's goalkeeper Mouhammed Thiam made four saves in the game. He is now 1-2-1 this season.
  • Jr. E. Malinoski took a team high six shots for the Kangaroos .

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will host Wells College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game on Saturday, September 15th at SUNY Poly's Wildcat Field. The game is their home opener for the 2018 season. In the last matchup between the two, The Wildcats came away with a 2-1 win.
