MSOC: Wildcats fall to Union College 1-0

MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men's soccer team (3-7-1, 1-2 NEAC)  fell to the Dutchmen of Union College (8-2-1, 0-2-1 Liberty) in a 1-0 defeat. Both teams played solid defensively. Just two shots were put on goal in the game. The game winning goal for Union was scored off a corner in the 26th minute. 

Sophomore Wyatt Snell (Parishville, N.Y.) and junior Benjamin Alonge (Elmont, N.Y.) led the Wildcats with two shots each. Junior Jeremiah Besse ( Delmar, N.Y.) played solid defensively for the Wildcats who held the Dutchmen to just two shots on goal. 

Union College's Kienan Smith had the lone goal for the Dutchmen in the 26th minute on a header off of Salvador Lopez Jr's corner kick.

The Wildcats will host the Eagles of St. Elizabeth in a Noth Eastern Athletic Conference match-up. The game is scheduled  for Saturday October 7th in Marcy, N.Y. with a 12:00 pm kickoff.
