MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men's soccer team hosted and lost to MCLA on Monday night. The game was a hard-fought one by both teams with the difference being a late goal by MCLA in the 71st minute. The final score was 1-0 in favor of the Trailblazers.

The Wildcats managed to put just two shots on goal, both were saved by MCLA's Kamron Anderson who recorded the shutout. SUNY Poly goalkeeper Mingoro Fanny (Bronx, N.Y.) recorded seven saves on eight chances for a .875 save percentage.

The difference maker was a goal in the box by MCLA forward Edward Boateng who netted the goal just seconds after being subbed into the game in the second period. Jesse Moore started the play with a nice cross in to Boateng who made the most of the opportunity.

The Wildcats were led by the duo of Nick McBride (Rotterdam, N.Y.) and Wyatt Snell (Parishville, N.Y.) who recorded three and two shots respectively. Of the Wildcats six total shots, only two were on goal; both were taken by McBride.

The Wildcats will look to bounce back from the 1-0 loss this weekend when they will host St. Elizabeth and Penn College in a NEAC weekend pair. Saturdays game against St. Elizabeth is scheduled for a 2:00 start at SUNY Poly's Wildcat Field.
