Utica, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's lacrosse team won big against the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers. Two Wildcats recorded hat tricks on the day, while seven players in total tallied multiple goals. The win moves the Wildcats to 5-2 on the season, and pushes their win streak to four games. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

The Wildcats were on the board within the first 40 seconds of the game, thanks to Michael Baker. From there, the Wildcats kept their foot on the gas, scoring six goals in a row to end the quarter ahead 6-1.  

Behind additional goals from Griffin LaFleur, Ian Short, Ryan Carroll and Joshua Cargen, SUNY Poly would take a commanding 14-2 lead into halftime. 

The Wildcats continued their impressive offensive showcase in the second half, scoring seven more points over the next two quarters. Sultan Taj, Mitchell Taylor and Kai Hew all got themselves in the goal column. The Wildcats would cruise to a 21-5 victory. 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: 

• Lyle Beeman picked up five points (three goals, two assists). 
• Griffin LaFleur scored three goals on four shots. 
• Payton Thomas tallied four points (two goals, two assists). 
• Ian Short had three points (two goals, one assist).
• Luke Taylor, Ryan Carroll and Michael Baker all scored two goals.
