MLAX: Wildcats Beaten By Utica University 8-4.

UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's lacrosse team lost to Utica University on Wednesday 8-4. The Pioneers got up early on the Wildcats 4-1 in the first and the deficit was too much to overcome for the Wildcats. SUNY Poly is now 0-2 this season. The win for Utica was their first of the year.

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: 

  • Amelio Ripa had two goals for the Wildcats. He also had a groundball. 

  • Andrew Maycock and Ryan Mead each scored a goal for Poly. Mead also had a pair of groundballs and won 3-8 faceoffs. 

  • Matthew Johnson was the goalkeeper of record for the Wildcats, earning the loss. He is now 0-2 this season. 

  • Sam Serrano had three goals for Utica. He also had a groundball. 

  • Gage Fisco also had three goals for the Pioneers. 

  • Jon Goodspeed earned the win for Utica in goal. He made 14 saves.
