POTSDAM, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's lacrosse team lost its season opener on Saturday 14-6 to SUNY Potsdam. The Wildcats played the Bears tight in the first quarter but gave up six goals in the second quarter to fall into a 9-3 hole that they were unable to dig themselves out of. The Wildcats are now 0-1 this season. 

NOTABLE STATS: 

• Edward Rosaschi had a team-high three points on a goal and two assists. He also picked up a pair of ground balls. 

• Amelio Ripa had a goal and an assist in the game. 

• Shane Wyman, Andrew Maycock, Payton Thomas, and Brody Guido each had a goal in the game. 

• Joseph Fontanella had a team-high four ground balls and forced a turnover. 

• Matthew Johnson was the losing goalkeeper. He made six saves in the game.
