MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's lacrosse team lost a triple-overtime thriller to Keuka College on Saturday in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play. The final score of the game was 11-10 in favor of the Keuka College Wolves. The Wildcats are now 6-5 this season with a 2-2 NEAC record.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Wildcats got out to an early lead, scoring three of the first goals. Shane Wyman (East Greenbush, N.Y.) got off to a hot start, either scoring or assisting on the first three goals of the game. The Wolves would own the second, scoring all three of the goals in the quarter to take a 4-3 lead at the half. The Wildcats would take the lead back in the third but by just one goal. The 'Cats and the Wolves traded blows in the third and the fourth with neither team able to edge out more than a one-goal lead. Daniel Rivie (Ossining, N.Y.) scored his second goal of the game with just 1:15 remaining in the game to force the game into overtime. The game would need nearly 10 more minutes of play to conclude. In the third overtime period, a man-up situation turned into a game-winning goal for Keuka. Kasey Gallina scored the walk-off goal on an assist by Matt Shattuck. The win was Keuka's fourth in NEAC play.

Charles Rosaschi (Highland Mills, N.Y.) made 15 saves in goal for SUNY Poly. The senior is now 2-2 this season in goal for the Wildcats.

Ryan Daucher (Geneva, N.Y.) had a team-high four caused turnovers for SUNY Poly. He also had six ground balls.

Tyler Schmitz (Eden, N.Y.) three caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Kasey Gallina had a game-high four goals for Keuka. Gallina also had an assist and a ground ball. He scored the game-winning goal.

Mark Shattuck had five points on three goals and two assists for the Wolves. He also had a caused turnover and three ground balls.

Nikoli Biljanoski earned his seventh win of the season for Keuka in goal. He made 14 saves.

Cody Nitzke and Harold Pallone each had four caused turnovers in the game. Both also had five ground balls for Keuka.

The Wildcats will hit the road for a North Eastern Athletic Conference game against Wells College on Thursday, April 18th. The Express are currently 1-10 with an 0-4 record in NEAC play. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start.
